Lovely Lunastark tagged me for this, so here goes:

Basics:

Real Name: Jennifer

Age: Younger than an NES, older than a SNES. My birthday is June 26th.

Race: I'd rather know where someone was from, so, Tennessee.

Nicknames: Jen, Jen-Jen

Reason Behind Username: I figured everyone would know I liked video games by virtue of being on this site, so I went with something to express my love of classic entertainment. And Dean Martin's glorious everything.

Best MyIGN Friends: I love and appreciate all of my friends on here. dillaweezer, Devinator 22, ShotgunHoward, and Dplayer97 and I organized to discuss Zelda as a group and I have really enjoyed that.

MyIGN Crush (optional): Nope.

MyIGN Arch-Enemy:  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hobbies:  Games, which creep into just about all of my other hobbies. Listening to music, watching YouTube and cartoons, sewing, shopping, decorating my house/yard, "loafering" (as my granddad likes to say).

Pets:  None ever. My granddad and dad break horses, though, so they're kinda like pets.

Pet Peeves: Superficially speaking only, generally noises from other people. Snoring drives me mad, noises when eating, hearing someone else's TV in the next room or a radio at a red light, people talking really loudly in a store or outside in the subdivision. Loud noises are also something I don't care for in general. I also try to adhere to "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all" as a rule, so when someone doesn't reciprocate, it really irks me, especially if they're putting down stuff I like etc.; it's not that I care what they think, but I just find it rude, especially if I've declined the opportunity to talk smack about their taste. So, just in general I suppose, being impolite/having poor manners.

Gaming:

Game Consoles Owned:

NES

SNES

Gameboy Color

N64 (3 of them, but one was stolen long ago)

PS1

Gamecube

DSLite

Wii

3DSXL

Wii U

Favorite Game Console: Wii. I guess by extension, the Wii U because it plays Wii games.

Favorite Game(s):

Skyward Sword

Twilight Princess (Wii)

Ocarina of Time 3D

Hyrule Warriors

Super Mario Galaxy 2

Super Mario Galaxy

Super Mario 64

Favorite Game Franchise(s): As is not already obvious, Zelda, then Mario. Kirby, Metroid, Star Fox... All Nintendo, all the time.

Favorite Gaming Genre: Action Adventure

Least Favorite Gaming Genre: MMOs, "mobiles games", Quick-Timey stuff.

Favorites:

Food: Pizza (really doughy, probably stuffed crust, cheese and green peppers from Pizza Hut with garlic butter dipping sauce), chopped sirloin steak with macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes and white corn, BBQ boneless-skinless chicken tenderloins. Olive Garden is my favorite restaurant. Milkshakes are also heaven (I have a weakness for ice cream). So, healthy stuff, basically. I never like to feel full though, so I don't each much of this stuff. I also really like anything I eat to have a lot of whatever flavor supposed to be--sweet, spicy, whatever, it better be really sweet or spicy. Like, if it's chili, it better make me cry; if it's cake, I don't want any of that carrot cake junk, give me buttercream yellow cake with a frosting flower and put ice cream on it. I pour A1 sauce on pretty much everything savory.

Drink: Skim milk, water, and Sprite. I also go to Starbucks every day for froo-froo coffee with an extra shot of espresso (like I said, it's coffee, so it needs a lot of coffee taste).

Film(s):

The Quiet Man

Transformers: Dark of the Moon (come at me brah)

El Dorado

Rio Bravo

McLintock!

Big Jake

Kiss Me, Stupid

Cannonball Run II

Ocean's 11 (the REAL ONE)

Come Blow Your Horn

Tangled

A Christmas Carol (1938 version)

Philadelphia Story

Anything with John Wayne, Dean Martin, Cary Grant, Elvis (I love Elvis movies and I'm not even sorry about it). I'm a big fan of Ginger Rogers, Gene Kelly, Maureen O'Hara, Doris Day, Katherine Hepburn, Jane Russell, Lana Turner, Marilyn Monroe... A lot of TCM happens with me.

Book: I have always read Nancy Drew books, and I always will.

Comic(s): I haven't gotten too into comics. I used to read a lot of Archie. I'd have to go with the Zelda mangas.

Television Show(s): My favorite show of all time is I Love Lucy (Lucille Ball is my idol)

Current Stuff:

Adventure Time

South Park

American Dad

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (Rarity is my favorite...my understanding is that this is not a popular opinion, but I don't Google ponies because I'm very afraid)

SpongeBob SquarePants (been "meh" lately though)

Family Guy

Everybody Loves Raymond (not really current but eh)

Big Brother OMG I LOVE BIG BROTHER *ahem* I swear I'm going to audition for it one day...

I leave my TV on 24/7. If I'm not watching anything particular, it's on QVC. I know nothing scary will come on, plus I really am a shopaholic and being sold things makes me happy XD

...There's nothing on TV that I like too much anymore (I watch Supernatural with my mom, who is obsessed, but other than that, eh) except cartoons. That being the case:

Classic Stuff:

Gilligan's Island

The Odd Couple

Laverne & Shirley

Welcome Back, Kotter

The Jeffersons

Bewitched

I Dream of Jeannie

Sanford & Son

The Dick Van Dyke Show

Dragnet

Three's Company (Terri is best blonde, and Mr. Furley > The Ropers)

Any Lucille Ball show ever, though the absence of Desi and William Frawley is painful

Old Kid Shows:

Rocko's Modern Life

Angry Beavers

Garfield and Friends

Clarissa Explains It All

Saved by the Bell

The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

Dumbo's Flying Circus

Under the Umbrella Tree

Quantum Leap and Perfect Strangers weren't kid's shows, but they were my jam when I was little; also Full House--I'm gonna watch the crap out of the new Netflix show

CinnamonToastKen

Dorkly

Black Nerd Comedy

Random comical clips of Nintendo stuff

Anime: I haven't gotten in to anime but want to. I had a good friend that used to love Dragon Ball Z and Sailor Moon, so I've seen a good bit of those, and I've watched some Pokemon, but that's about it.

Music: Dean Martin is obviously my favorite, but I'll divvy my list up like I did with TV shows.

Classic Stuff: (I should note this stuff is leaps above the current stuff for me, though I enjoy both for different moods)

Elvis

Frank Sinatra

Bing Crosby

Sammy Davis. Jr

Perry Como

Ricky Nelson

Doris Day

Louis Armstrong

Vic Damone

Current Stuff:

P!nk (my favorite current singer)

Spice Girls/Geri Halliwell (not that they're current, but hey)

I also really like country from the 90's (and back to very old stuff, then the Johnny Cash era. Not after much after the early 2000's, though. If this is weird to anyone, it was extremely popular at my school etc. when I was growing up in the Shania Twain Era so this is pretty normal for people my age in my area; I used to watch/go to a lot of NASCAR, too, which was also normal).

Other Random Facts:

I'm an only child, and the only grandchild on my dad's side.

I started cheerleading before I started school and continued throughout highschool. I also did dance and tumbling to go with it. It was all kinda meh after around sixth grade, though.

I also started playing instructional pitch ball when I was very little (never played t-ball, pft). I continued into slow-pitch softball after a year of instructional league, and this is still my great love. I played every position, pitched a season, but I'm a catcher and a power hitter. I'm pretty good, if I do say so. I credit my dad with this, who has always been my coach. He even had an opportunity to play at the state level but didn't. He's an awesome player, and I was always super proud to watch him whoop everyone in the coaches game at the end of every season. Even though I don't much keep up with stats or anything, I also love watching baseball or listening to it on the radio--very nostalgic in many ways. I even got a chance to coach some before the league folded here. The league ending here still makes me want to weep. I have to stick to catch and batting cages these days.

I have three cousins: Jeremiah, Jamie, and Jonathan. Jamie has passed away, as some of you might have seen from a blog of mine; he has a daughter, Olivia. Jonathan, the youngest, just had a daughter named Isabelle. Jer has three kids: Gavin, Ezra, and Ellie. They are pretty much the center of my life. We're very close, and I just adore them. I talk about Gavin and Ezra a lot on here (that's who I usually mean when I say "my little cousins"), as they are my gaming buddies. I could just cry I love them so much.

My mom is pretty much my bestie (along with Gavin and Ezra). She also introduced me to classic movies and stuff, and we watch a lot of stuff together from TCM to Supernatural to Pewdiepie.

I managed to snag a few awards throughout school, but I'm super proud of my home ec. award I got for having the highest average in the school, which was over 100. I really liked home ec. lol.

Speaking of which, my fam tells me I'm a pretty good cook, and I can also sew decently.

I wish to direct. The Zelda movie shall be my masterpiece. I have always wanted to act, and may still with this YouTube and all (I did in school; my favorite was getting to play Sleeping Beauty), but if I wind up as a stay-at-home mom when I grow up, that'll be awesome. If a boy tries to flirt with me, I usually avoid eye-contact and look distracted and respond with "Yeah. Uh huh." or some such b*tchy ice queen thing because I'm horrible and judgmental like that when it comes to this, so I'm kinda shooting myself in the foot on this one, though.

I have always named all the cars I ride in frequently. Currently, this includes Passy (I used to call my pacifier a "passie" or "possie" when I was little, and I really love this car...) and Little Red (my dad's truck). My little cousin Gavin named the other one we frequent, my father's father's car, "The Creed Mobile". Gavin is on my mom's side, but he loves my dad's dad and goes with us out there for holidays.

Oh, I call my grandfather "Creed". I always have. My grandmother was "Dot", short for Dorothy. That's what everyone else calls them, so I do, too.

I have dark hair with gold and auburn in it naturally. From fifth grade until senior year in high school though, I bleached it. When I decided to go back natural, I dyed it a lighter brown in-between while it grew out. When I went to school the day after that, one of my friends said, "Oh my God, now you look exactly like Lindsay Lohan." so everyone nicknamed me Lindsay the rest of the year. :|

My first job was at a tanning bed, which also contributed to the Lindsay thing. I have also worked as a algebra tutor (lol wtf) in school, as well as at Blockbuster, Target, and Ulta (makeup 'n' such).

I have talked while I play games like I'm doing a video on YouTube since I was old enough to hold a controller. It's a habit and I don't think I'll ever break it (I talk to myself a lot just in general, in a totally not-crazy way, honest).

As I said, I am from Tennessee. If I was having a face-to-face conversation with you and told you this, you would probably laugh and sarcastically say, "Really? Gee, I would have never guessed from your accent..." My family even makes fun of me for it sometimes (as well as Gavin's similar accent--just another one of the many things I have taught him). I also use very Southern slang/speech ("I's fixin' to run to the store right quick." etc.), so that adds to the effect. (I do *realize* it if I am using incorrect grammar, which I feel makes all the difference. I can "turn it off" and speak properly around non-family and friends. I like hearing people's regional accents and "isms", though. I like different accents, and don't think people are stupid if they have them--Yankee, Southern, or otherwise. *off soapbox*)

I really like to shop. For anything. I just like going shopping. A lot. I should probably start a twelve-step program. Lol, nah, long live shopper's high!

Summer is my absolute favorite time of year (and technically Spring, I suppose). It's wonderful weather (the hotter and muggier, the better), and it's very nostalgic to me in my own personal life (see the softball blurb above...I can taste the doublebubble and Mt. Dew and smell the grass and dirt now), as well as just for Americana stuff like fireworks and the local fair and cooking out and swimming and stuff like that. On the weather font (badumtsst), I also don't like to run the HVAC any time of year. I like being cold in the winter and hot in the summer.

I find grown-up, big Link dang fine, and the fact that he's a cartoon used to make his appeal to me bother me. Prince Eric, too (my first great love). And Prince Phillip. Then Flynn Ryder came along and I was like "You know what? I'm going to own this. I can't fight it." And I shouted out the window, "I find some animated guys attractive, and I'm proud!" and felt so much better. Random facts--this is what you get.

*squeeeee!*

*squeeeee!*

I think that's about all I got. I hope none of it was too off-putting/made you want to slap me. I need to tag some people:

I tag ShotgunHoward, Dillaweezer, and Exelement (I didn't see you guys tagged yet, so there we go if you want to do it :) ). Thanks for reading!
